I'm trying to decide if I want to take a chance on the cvt. I tend to keep my cars a long time.
What can you tell me about maintenance; service; how many miles have you put on it?

I get on the web and read all kinds of storys both good and bad, some personal experiance would help.

Well I have delt with a few of these trans. Most are problem free for there whole life and will outlast the car! But if you do get one that has a problem, it will never go away,LOL They are pretty easy to work on if you ever have to.

Yeah from what my auto teacher said they are pretty bullet proof! They would only need a new chain if it streched.

You know whats funny stupid dodge set up there CVT caliber to shut off the ingecters for a pulse so it feel like the POS shifts? WTF.

My Neighbor had a 500, I think they put 2 or 3 transmissions in it, So i'd recommend not buying a Blue first year 500.

I'd much rather the antique Grand Marquis and just tow your Samurai behind that.
