Some updates on a new skid plate....I had bent my other one up, that and it was rusty and weak anyway. I can not do a flat belly skid as I do not run any body lift and the T/case and the E-brake need the little clearance that I do have. So being low on funds I had to use what I had laying around and spend as little as possible. So I picked up a used skid from the guys at Unlimited Off Road for a TJ. Then changed it so the bolt pattern would line up to my frame and built a skeleton structure to completely tie everything together on the inside of it. Just hoping this one holds up better.

Thanks...Time well,LMAO...way to many hours....I spent at least a good 6 or 7 long evenings in the garage figuring out what to do with the material I had on hand. Had more time than money to use on this project.

Today I went up a little in tire size. Replaced the 35" Pro Comps with a set of 37 x 12.5 x 17 BFG KM2's. This tire size will have to do until I get to stretching the wheel base a few more inches.

Old vs. New

Sorry for the crappy picture as it was getting dark when I finally got them put on.

Nice tires, I just pick up a set of 35's going to mount on the same wheels as yours.

Since the bigger tires would rub the front fenders at full flex. I broke out the Plasma Cutter and did a little trim today. I decided to to leave a little of the front fender extension on just for a different look. This will work for now until I put the tube fenders on...
