Default Does anyone put salt on their fruit?

My assistant says she coats all fruit (except bananas) with salt. She thinks the whole world does it. I think she's nuts.

Only on watermelon. I've tried it on others just for shits and giggles... nothing else tastes right with it though.

YEP. one of the best coatings for good ripe strawberries is a 50/50 mix of salt & sugar. a little salt on sweet things intensifies the overall taste. same as when people put salt in their soda drink. however, "coating" the fruit in salt does sound a little over the top.

I've never heard of doing this until now, but sounds like something I will have to try out and see if I like
