Default Nate's 4x4 sale

I bought my first bumper from nate.

I just wanted to pass this along since the prices were pretty outstanding.

Nate makes a decent bumper for the money for sure. Everyone should go to his website and buy one so he can pay me. That would be cool.

I have ordered from him before, and for the record, I have a wildly different opinion

His bumper currently resides on my jeep, well, most of it does...but not for long.

Actually, I heard he was going out of business. could have been a rumor, but i thought it was a reputable source

I've heard good things about the product, but service on the other hand.......

I had SERIOUS problems with service and product. it was (and continues to be) an absolute nightmare. and worse than that, any attempt to give him the chance to redeem himself was only met with more disappointment.

i will admit, the pricing for the products cannot be beat... but as far as my experience has been, it is nowhere near worth the savings.

Take a look at your winch manufactures specs as to what a winch should be mounted to and it says 3/8" plate minimum, the nates4x4 bumpers use 1/4".

Most bumper tops are 3/16 or 1/4 even for winch mounts. Warns own winch mount is 1/4. If its built right then its fine. I'm not implying his bumper is or is not, I'm just saying.

I met the guy (I think). I looked at a old car he had for sale in front of the shop. You wouldn't expect it to be a offroad shop but he had a couple jeeps and bumpers in the place. (it's a tire shop/service center bay)

He was the bays next to the tire shop. He's no longer working out of that location though.

Default Nates 4x4

Nates 4x4 makes some really great bumpers. Answering phone calls is not all that it is cracked up to be. If you are telling people when they will have there bumpers and the orders have not came in so that you can pay for those peoples steel or to pay the shipping bill so then you can ship that out, I guess that I would not answer the phone either.
This economy is real bad right now so anyone who orders bumpers make sure that the faster that you gets your frinds to order bumpers the faster you will get your bumper.

Give him a break guys he is a one man shop trying to survive on quality bumper with no customer service.

Nope, can't agree at all. Business thrives on good service and dies on poor service. He needs to answer his phone and be honest with people. Avoiding them is NOT the answer.

Nate made both my front and rear bumpers. Very well made, strong and fit well. I have never had any problems with customer service either. I have had better luck contacting him via e-mail than I have on the phone though. Sometimes I just get lucky and catch him at his shop.

he does have a cnc plasma but the one that tab has is the same just newer and tab knows his stuff when it comes to indexing. Tabs products are the best that I have seen and i suggest that if you ever need custom work to get ahold of him.

Jfabrication is Justin as in my first name and fabrication because i love to fabricate products. Thanks for noticing

He got an old one off ebay after a few years of me cutting all his parts. Then I was just cutting his big bumper blanks or any parts that were too long for his machine to do it one pass. He thought he would save a ton of money by doing it himself. What people do not realize is that they are paying for my time as much as a part. It allows the fabricator to go to a shelf and grab the parts and weld it as apposed to having to spend two hours cutting parts just before being able to get started. A huge advantage in a small shop where you do not have the time or the people to do extra processes. Nates a good guy who does build (along with Justin) great products he just got in over his head a bit and lost focus on his business. When he wakes up I just hope it isnt too late for his business.

Tab that is a great way to state it. I could not of said it better myself.
I am no longer with nates4x4. When i was there we put out a lot of great product. We had products that could with stand the most grewsome abuse that you jeepers could put out. I have decided to go to another business that actually recognizes the good work that you do and actually appreciates it. I hope that Nates4x4 does good in the long run. He has great products and even better prices. I was with Nates4x4 for almost 2 years and i dedicated my life to that business. Everywhere there was a place to improve or make a product better we did it. I am sorry for the falling out that Nate and I had I was ready for the long hall with him but there was a certain thing that was in the way of that. Or I guess that I could say a certain person that requires a lot of attention. I tried to buy the business from him because i seen so much potential that it had.

I would Like to thanks all of the jeepers that kept me employed from January 2007 until October 2008. Jeepers Are a whole different breed of people that I personally do enjoy being around. I also would like to say thanks to the cadillac jeepers for the blessing of the Jeeps. That is a great event where people can get together and do stuff that they all enjoy. It was nice working with all of you at the cadillac jeepers when we had a booth out there for the past 2 years.

Thanks to all.

I have and will buy from tab again. I was just wondering why nate would owe him if he has his own cnc.

I wonder if he wants to sell it without the plasma cutter? Cheap of course.
