if there is no payout, does part of eentry fee go to ressort for hill rental? I get donation to cause. I raced Charlevox and love my trophies from there. I would pay higher entry for payback...Hope the trophies are nice big ones, and no sissy ass plaques! Grudge matches are a good time too! So in reading previous posts i want to confirm OPEN HEADERS ar OK in all classes EXCEPT31's,correct?

pre-registration sent.

mikey1258, yes open headers are fine, in all but the 31" class which need streetable exhaust. (all the way out the back, out the side near the tire, etc.)

Further clarification on exhaust:

The 31 and under class needs to have street worthy exhaust, as Mr. Busyfixin stated.(BTW if any of you have a diesel rig to run, Busyfixin has a twin turbo he'll be running that he's pretty confident in. Come give him a challenge.) What that means is you need to have a muffler. We don't care what kind it is or where it dumps, you just need one. We don't care about your cat, so don't worry about it. If it's still there, good for you. If you cut it off, shame on you, but you can still run(we'll just paint a big black X on your rig so everyone knows you don't care about global warming..... because all of us Michiganders know that global warming caused us to start winter at the BEGINNING of November this year, and here in the north get dumped on with more snow than we've seen in nearly 10 years, and global warming made the month of January bitterly cold. Global warming.......... ;-)

Oh hell no! You can't drive a vehicle up the Face. Good Knight is the next hill over from the Yellow chairlift.
I should also correct myself from a previous post. I had stated that the lanes would be about 200-250ft from start to finish. I was corrected last week when we met with the resort again to run a vehicle up the hill. This hill will actually be about 400 ft start to finish.
We also learned that a stock S-Series truck with street pressure radial all season tires will NOT make it to the bottom of the steep incline. If running in the 31 and down tire class, be ready to air down. Of course it's all gonna be different in April.

Have a small adjustment/correction to make about the spectator entry to the Snow Challenge: The resort will be charging $7.00 entry the day of the event. There is a $2.00 off entry voucher/coupon that can be printed off the internet. The link to the voucher/coupon is:

http://www.griztekusa.com/SchussMnt_voucher.html.

If you are planning on entering the Schuss Mnt. Snow Challenge please go to the website and pre-register. This will help speed things up the day of the event by having paper work already filled out and getting trucks in and out through tech inspection. We will also be using the number of pre-registration to gauge how many participants we should prepare for.

Don't forget, there will be a cap on entries if we end up having a ton of trucks showing up. We would HATE to turn anyone away the day of because we had to cap the numbers. We do have hundreds of spot available, but pre-registration will guarantee your spot that way if you drive from a distance you will not have to worry about a wasted trip. (I say this because it has happened with other events. Coordinators have stories of really pissed off people coming and not being able to run. We want to avoid this.)

SO PRE-REGISTER YOUR RIG!!!!!

Here is a link to our test run up the hill last week. It's nothing special, but it will give everyone an idea of what to expect.

Just a comment: I think double elimination (if possible) would draw a better crowd and everyone has a bad run from time to time. I know i love the side by side drag events and would drive the 4 hrs to get to this event no questions, but for one run and maybe done, not so much fun. Although i would probably win it all, it is the thought that counts-LOL.

Also, the single elimination makes a huge difference if one side is running better than the other. At the truck drags in Gladwin, one side was great and the other was horrible. If a person happened to get stuck in the bad lane, it didn't matter skill or HP, winning was not an option in that one lane for the most part.

The best I can offer up as far as lane conditions is this: We will have a groomer on hand all day. If I see that there is a discernible difference in the lanes due to one of them deteriorating, then I will stop the racing and have the groomer make a couple passes over the lanes. Other than that, there isn't much anyone can do about it. IT'S SNOW!!!! We all wheel it and know it's a challenge. Accept that it's going to change and probably suck ass(in a good way.)

Think of it this way...... each round you get to race will be something new! We will do our best to keep things even in the lanes.

mudchucker and trail junkie: Looks like you two can be counted in for the first grudge match of the day!?
