Default Thank You Vets

My wife and I went on a cruise to Mexico a couple weeks before Christmas and we saw some amaziing sights and had a great time.

We were at my uncle Joe's house for Christmas dinner when my Grandpa came up to me and asked me how my trip was...I said the the cruise was great. He proceeeded to tell me that his "cruise" was not all that great as there were men alll around him getting sick and that they could barely stand up....and many didn't make it home....

This was the first time my Grandpa talked about WW2 in as long as I can remember....

I told him that my vacation would not have been possible if not for the "cruise" he went on.

My Grandpa is 90 years old and I don't think he realizes how important of a role his generation played in our freedom.

I just want to take a chance to thank all our VETS.

Thank You

My Father is also a WWII vet and has told a few stories about his boat ride across the pond , The one I've never heard is about the Jap sniper rifle he brought home from the war , it has a story but I think it may still hold emotions as he just stares at it when he sees it.

My dad was a marine right at the end of the war. He doesn't talk about it at all. I think he has some bad memories.
