There are probably at least 125 trucks, maybe even 200 its hard to tell.

Swamp Stompers started this tradition back in 95 or 96. A few from thier club would go Thanksgiving day just to get out, becuase they all had the day off. The first year I went with them was '97. Probably only about 25-30 trucks. I have been there most years since and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Yup, we've had ice plenty of mornings..

One year, I believe 1999, I was in my TJ, when I got stuck in one fo the longer clay ruts... I got out to hook up a strap, standing on the clay bank.....slipped and went up to my belly-button in ice water... and that year, I was driving right from the mounds to my family's place in Harbor Beach... It was a cold wet 2 hour drive, only to find that when I got there, my wife wasn't there yet with my suitcase, so I had to sit in wet clothes for another 2 hours....

Ah.... good times..

Hell yeah that day rocked T-day 95 4 trucks and a handful of quads. The place to our selves. What do we do one club member noses his truck into what is now T-day hole. The truck breaks thru the ice (10" thick) and the winch locks underneath the ice. So now here we are with this truck stuck will 2 wheels on dry icy covered land. And another rig trying to pull hin out.

We yanked, winched, tried breaking the ice with 5lb sledge (not happening), tried going further into the whole. Finally we get it out (4 hrs later) and go to do some trailriding since we NEVER really got started. Had electrical issues, by the time this was fixed it was time to leave and go eat some turkey. Every year since our club has been going back on t-day. it has gron to be HUGE and it is awesome. I hope to see you all there.

I will be there in a DD or a passenger seat

So you'll be pulling one of my moves?? Welcome to the other side, not as much fun but less expensive.

Have to see what time turkey dinner is, I would like actually show my face to some off-roading event this year.

BTW, turkey day at the mounds...Dickie, Randy, Mudqueen, Loomis and myself all went that day or was it the day after?? And that's when it all the "dirty" stuff began! I slept in the jeep while they all ate breakfast, we wheeled (Dickie actually wheeled Neve) Loomis got stuck bad! Randy got stuck too if I remeber, I rode shotgun with Mudqueen (nothing has changed there) and Mudqueen left behind a little present at that diner that still brings tears to our eyes when we talk about it....lol. Memories!
