I can't say with any sort of experience that I know they have screwed people. But a legit timing system is not expensive. I mean it's expensive, but it's not in the grand scheme of owning a gravel pit for off road racing.

It is when your not making money on the race. The racers as a group decided to purchase a system, the paypal was set up today and we are getting system quotes
