Default Boat prices

Wow the boat prices are really down. I bought a small outboard motor cheap and was planning on picking up a relatives older 14' cheap. Then seats , trolling motor etc. Since my budget is tight. But I have been seeing 12-14' boats with nice trailers, 10-25 hp motors, seats etc. Nice boats with all the goodies I need from $900-$2500. Between the time of year and the economy I have seen some great deals. I found a perfect boat for $1750. Now if I can get my W-2s I might buy it. Like my friend says" The time to buy is after the Christmas bills come due and before the income checks come in" That was advice for motorcycles but I think it applies to a lot of things.

The same is true with bigger boats. A buddy told me on Friday that his in-laws bought a 2002 32' Sea Ray for something like $30k.......but they had to pay cash since financing is very tough to get right now.

I'd have to agree. But I also think if you wait much longer that might not be so true. I have a boat for sale but not because I need the cash. But last year it almost never was in the water because of gas prices but now this year if I still have it that might be a whole nother story. They should stay cheap for awhile yet but that might change when spring comes. Guess we'll see
