Default engine swap troubles

i have a 1990 pickup that came with a 3.0 3vze v6 and 5 speed r150f manual trans 4wd the engine after 289000 miles now only runs on 5 cylinders i pulled this engine and the engine from my 1987 2wd 4 speed auto with 22r carb i was wanting to swap in the 1987 22r into the 1990 truck with the r150f 5 speed i have been having troube finding a bellhousing to couple the 4 popper to the r150f trans , bit recently heard if i use a bellhousing from a turbo 4 cylinder to an r151 that this will work. i have been told the 4 cylinder will bolt right up using the 4 cylinder mounts, but on another site was reading they are different and wont work i know i have to do some wire splicing to join the 4 cylinders emissions control to the brain box of the 6 cylinder truck and disconnect the electic fuel pump and just use the mechanical pump on the 22r engine. im not sure at this point as to try to make the 22r work in this truck or fix the valves on the 3.0 litre as i know it will go back in decisions decisions the 22r runs like a sewing machine and only has 130000 miles on it so i really wanted to use it but not sure its worth the trouble im on a low buget as i have been recently laid off
