I beleive from what I have seen of pics it could be a good time for a day. Someday with luck I will have a sound enough rig to make a treck. But as of now My rig is a carnage in waiting. The though that the park isnt worth going to as far as things to do has not been a The issue from what I have read here, IMO.

I see the issues have made it here aswell.

I have voiced my concerns on my forum and the Jeepskool forum I will not do so here. Posting all over the internet wont help resolve anything.

no, i think it does help...if a newbie off road enthusiast googles JEEPSKOOL (kelly sounds pretty much like a little bitch, the stupid fukcer can't even spell) and finds that the head instructor is a cock and charges $500 to be put on then end of a winch cable and probably sabotages the place to generate more income (i put that part in myself )...that newbie may reconsider and go somewhere that makes more sense (or cost less $)

i hope this thread lives for another year or so.

here's the real reason to go ...not sure if this is jeepskool or wellville.....

JeepSkool would have never seen Rick Pewe or the UA had it not been for a few of the behind the scene people that have been on a "first name basis with rick" for years. Kelly wasnt one of them. In fact it was up in the air if they would hit JS or not until a week or so prior. Originaly they had intended to make one stop in Ohio, and that stop was Painted Rock in south eastern ohio.

I see alot of JS brag about the UA, and Id otn just mean Robo, he is the man in charge and hsould be proud, its great advertisment.

BUT.. that looks like my cherokee behind Pewe and my ugly mug to HIS left (black hat and shit eatin grin)

is that my cherokee I see again?

Point is getting youself in the UA isnt all that hard as long as you know who to contact and when to.

The "trail leaders" over that that think they are high and mighty becuase the wheeled with the UA group are full of it. camera hualers did no wheelign, we took bypasses and stayed inf rotn fo the crew at all times.

My guys lucked out .We switched on and off with who was wheeling and who had staff.
I was a honor for even my staff who stayed at camp and cooked food for the adventurers.

Charging people for recovery is the most cocksuckerish thing I've ever heard of. Doesn't matter if it's $5 or $500. People are supposed to help each other out, not be greedy bitches. I've pulled out and been pulled out. Not once did money cross anybody's mind.

I can't seen anybody with some degree of common sense, even a newb, wanting to go there.

Thats the thing he has a cult like following of newbies that keep that place open. He has ran every member that could help him and his newbies, out of there. As a fellow offroader your soposed to help others out and get them unstuck or back to camp for repairs.

I agree with this but also agree it is not the owners responsibility to get everybody unstuck for free. That is why the buddy system is used in offroading. I do think there should be a last resort to have to call the owner for special equip. and that should cost money but not $500. That is extreme. I can tell you that no matter what the friends that I wheel with will get me out no matter how bad the break is. That should be the case for all wheelers and Robo's stupid $500 fee should not be an issue.

Well I can see that you think that the rest of the parks around are dirty unsafe and nonkid friendly. You could not be more wrong! The people who run and help out at these parks are some of the BEST this sport has to offer. The parks in our area look at it as part of being a Family to help the other guy out. Lend a tool, winch line, parts food ect. So to Bundy Hill, Twisted Trails and Rocks & Valleys heres to you for being GREAT family Off road parks!

As for not being political....... Who are you trying to kid. If you love being part of this sport you have to have a political voice!( Unless you like the idea of public off road lands being closed so people have to go to your park!!!) We in Michigan have lost most of our public offroad land and don't want to see anymore disappear!

As for me From the pics I have seen it looks like an interesting place but from the way you have conducted yourself on this forum I will spend my money else where!

This guy is one hell of a business manager!
This guy should be ashamed of himself. Being in the buisness he is in he should already have the proper equipment that can be used for work in the park and recovery. Very rarely does a well thought out recovery cost that much money. I would never attend any event that charges for recovery. I can only assume he is in it for the money and not the sport.

I agree. I have been offered money and always turn it down. I am happy to safely recover a vehicle and save the owner time, further damage and the possibility of injury.

Many trucks with broken front axles have been safely loaded onto their trailer with military cranes at events my friends and I work at.

You would think $500 would make anyone think about going there if you get stuck your forking over $500...

What would $500 get you else where?

Hell you can goto R&V the whole Year without paying that much..

Or the Mounds or ect....

You can book a trip to Las Vegas for that much.. and stay a weekend

they even charge their staff if they get stuck (lol, i really doubt it as we were told that it was inappropriate to ask and nobody's business earlier in this thread)
$500 is more than some rigs are worth here but probably but just a small price to get skooled....i'm afraid i'm with teh cockstar on this one, just not enough bang for my buck

Here is the thing. HE decides when the equipment must be used. I have never been stuck/broke bad enough to need a crane to get me. Nor have I ever seen anyone in that position. With some winches, pulleys, shovels ect you can almost get anything unstuck. But if he see you in a spot that eh things will mess up the land in any way he can make the call.

My group I ride with is self contained, we have guys who carry only tools, only food, only recovery equipment, ect. We have ready welders, on board air, power inverters, ect. We can dang near build a rig in the woods.

In the photos of the jeep with busted ball joint and busted front axle, Ive been in that spot and drove myself out of the woods. I drug the rf tire the entire way. That non spinning tire will cause SIGNIFICANT damage to the trails in Robo's eye and require extraction

I agree. I was thinking an old 4x4 pickup with big offroad tires, a gin pole setup and a chain fall. You have a cheap offroad towtruck that can deal with broken steering or axles. Add a large winch on the front and a couple snatch blocks and some tools.

Sounds like an excuse to charge $500. Correct me if I' wrong, but I don't think a dragging tire would damage a dirt trail.
