Default Steering Gear Box 92 F150 issues

I am currently losing powersteering fluid out of the bottom seal as fast as I can pour it in the reservoir.

Do I try to replace the seal, or just replace the gearbox?
I have not done either before on this Truck, so I need guidance.

Putt a seal it it first. I dont think they are that hard. I know on most you can pull the pitman arm and then pull the seal out. Pull the pitman arm and see what it loooks like. Do you have a hayes manual or a chilton? If so look in there. I got one at the shop some where. If you dont i will look in the am for you.

I have the hanes manual, in fact I'm headed out to the barn to dig it out of drawer. I'm going to look at it tonight, to see what to do.

It sucks, because Now I need to take the Plow off.

try a seal kit, there under 20 bucks,

remove the pitman arm then the snap ring. now start the engine and turn the steering wheel lock to lock, the seal (s) should come out. then just install a new seal (s)

I already bought the replacement gearbox, but I think I will keep the old one and replace the seal. Thanks for the advise though.
