sorry, couldn't resist

As for Christmas parties, back in the day when I worked, I had to attend 5 company Christmas parties.(yes, HAD, well I guess I could have declined the invitation, but most likely would have been fired. Come to think of it, the Christmas before they laid me off I did decline an invite to one of them because my dad was dying and I was pregnant. And lookie there--went back to work after maternity leave and was laid off... anyway, I digress.)

Three were in Detroit, one in Saginaw, and one was in Frankenmuth. I lived in Saginaw at the time, so the Detroit ones sucked, and all of them ate every weekend in December so trying to get to other parties was about impossible. It got to the point that by the time Christmas finally arrived, I was Christmased out.

Even though company Christmas parties can be fun, I would much rather have either gotten an extra $30 in my paycheck or a few hours off with pay during December.

My wifes boss had 120 employees and had a wonderful Christmas party, open bar, full food buffet, the whole works. Some bunny huggers were upset they were always serving prime rib and complained. Now they get $50 gift cards instead, and they are still bitching thinking the cards should be amount to what he would have spent on the party and divided between everyone. Sometimes I look at them and wonder why they are alive.

I've noticed many crabby employees lately.

You could hire me though, I won't bitch about stupid shit. I'm good with design and the accompanying programs..

I have found that calling people names helps to worsen the situation.

I work retail and I now hate christmas thanks to employment position. The number of assholes who think they are right and if you don't carry what they want start to bitch even more grow by like 1000 percent. I love being busy, but when you have customer after customer treat you like a doormat it really gets to you after about the third hour of the day.
