Money doesn't get to automakers. Automakers all file bankruptcy. 300 million people are out of work within 6 months. Crime is through the roof. Under cover Chinese mafia begin to infiltrate the United States.........

X auto company goes under. Government buys it. Fires everyone, sells it back to X auto company with a loan included and they hire everyone back under new contracts. Wishful thinking.

Im not a fan of other peoples hack jobs (not saying all of them are). It would just be nice to get a ruby with even just a 4.7 over a 3.7.

I am buying rounds like they are going out of style!
I don't even want to think of the end result if this does not get resolved in a manner that helps the industry. They bailed out fannie and freddie and they all got a vacation. But they want to put a czar into the auto industry and give them half or less $ than they need to stay alive? I can understand SOME oversight, but I think they are getting a little nutty. Best of luck to all who are employed or contracted by the affected companies.

When food and money gets scarce pets will be turned loose. I predict Immortal will make a killing teaching people how to gut and cook stray dog and kitty for food.

back to the topic at hand.

I am taking guesses on the idea GM is the target for bank filing. they have a 200 day supply of cars, if they file they don't have to be in the black till July. they have way to much fat and have been edging that way for years.

Chrysler is doing well from the cutting & hacking stand point. we have thined out to the point of bare bones. we have new product to test, but it just a few vehicles at this point. I think they are holding back the new stuff till they have a big push to show off with.

Ford doesn't need help except by the banks to give loans to buyers.
