Default Sno*Drift Rally January 30 & 31, 2009 Atlanta, Michigan

Ken Block #43 from Subaru Rally Team USA will be there

Sno*Drift Rally is the first event of the 2009 year and is presented by Sno*Drift Rally Inc. Running concurrently are the Sno* and the Drift Regional rallies. As in past years, it will be headquartered in Atlanta, Michigan but also utilize the towns of Lewiston and Hillman. The local organizations and businesses support the event and encourage the competitors and participants. The event will be sanctioned by Rally America Inc. For rules and vehicle requirements check their web-site, www.rally-america.com .

The 2009 Sno*Drift Rally will be held January 30 and 31, 2009. This is the last week-end in January. The 2009 event will be the 43rd anniversary of the performance type Sno*Drift Rally. Sno*Drift was the first complete event that was held as a stage type or performance rally.

Performance or Stage rallying goes on the premise of: Real cars, Real fast, on Real roads. On the Sno*Drift Rally we do it on the ice and snow. The 2008 rally is now in the history books. The 2008 Sno*Drift rally was very successful, and the competitors were given another winter challenge. The 17 stages were in good shape, well ploughed and ran efficiently and on schedule.

The results of the last year’s event are posted elsewhere on the web page. The winners were the team of Antoine L’Estage and Natalie Richard from Canada, driving a Hyundai.

The 2009 Sno*Drift Rally will be held in Montmorency County in North Eastern Lower Michigan. If you would like to get involved as a worker or a rally marshal, please consider volunteering (see Volunteers page to sign-up). Please wander our web site. You will find volunteer directions and contacts for restaurants and supporting merchants. Also there are many links to the photos and fun from previous years. The web site will be updated on a regular basis as information develops.
