Hungry Howie's has no corporate locations. They are 100% franchise owned.

Corporate is not Hungry Howies Inc., it is Jackson Food Services. It's the third store they built, still owned by the company. Store one is at Telegraph and Wick, also still owned by the company.

ive only ever tipped a delivery driver once. of course thats because they dont deliver all the way out to me. to get it delivered, i have to drive 3 miles, and meet them. in which case, im just as well off to drive the other 8 miles to get it myself.

delivered or not, i cant bring myself to pay over $20 for a medium pizza.

you ever tried bartering with them, offering them a pretty substantial tip to get it to you?

Back when I was younger and delivering pies to make some extra cash. We had this guy who lived out in the sticks that always said he would make it worth our while to delver to him. I only delivered to him once. Got a whole 2 bucks for going 10 miles outside our delivery area. Learned that you can't always believe what they tell you and it's not worth taking the chance that they are lying to you. My experience with tipping the people really couldn't afford to tipped the best. People who lived in lavish houses with fancy cars in high end neighborhoods tipped the worst.

X2

I would have to drive 5 miles to meet them. Since I am already in the car might as well just drive the rest of the way.

We have quite a few Pizza choices within a mile and a half of us. We usually pick up. Besides, I really hate getting cold or cooling pizza and that has happened a lot around here. Now we try to get there just as it comes out of the oven. Nice and hot when we get home.

When we used to get delivery, we tipped at least 20 - 30%. Anything under $10 got at least $2. It went up from there. Problem was, we did not know if the pizza was hot or cold till after the guy left. Guess we could have checked first.
