Default Need help with 79 f150, can't find headers

Ok this may sound odd, since it's coming from a newbie. BUT I can't seem to find a set of headers for my truck. Here's the specs 79 f150, 4x4 with a 302 windsor engine swapped in it out of a mustang. The engine seems to be the problem, even though they did come from the factory with 302's. So far the only thing I can find is a 1980 4x4 header, but that's the newer body style. The guy I bought if off had headers, but they didn't clear the front driveshaft. I also had some mustang shortys on it, but they hit the clutch pivot. I'm just curious if anyone else has ever ran into this, and hopefully has some ideas!

Try putting the slip of the driveshaft up by the tcase. I had joints on both ends, no double cardon.

i had a 1991 f-150 with 6in supe. lift and 3in body lift. i put a 1991 460 in it. when i bought headers the drivers side hit the frount end. i had to put a shorty header on that side so it would clear the frount end.i think the headers i ordered was for a two wheel drive!!

That's what I think I'm going to do, I found shortys that fit 86 and up that I can stuff in there. I really wanted full length so I can hook up collector mufflers. I guess I will have to have an exhaust shop make up a dual exhaust for me. I never would have thought mounting up headers in a truck would be so bad. Yes I know ford never technically put a 302 in a 4x4, somebody transferred a built up racing motor out of a mustang into it.
