Default Gas under $1.00 soon?

Oil is now below $50 bucks a barrel. Costco is selling for $1.67 for 87.

Under a $1.00 before the new year?

What is the tax in a gallon of gas?

I think I saw in Pennsylvania it is like $.80/gallon for federal/state tax (although I could have misread the sticker while getting gas and hurrying to the airport)

I honestly couldn't see it getting any lower than $1.25 because of the tax, which by the way Granholm wants to raise.

I think its $0.55 per gallon, but we have the 2nd or 3rd highest tax in the country.

Gas can't be cheap if we are supposed to become fossil fuel independent.

Not that i'm complaining about cheap gas, just saying this can't be good in the long run if it stays down...

Once again, I think you are wrong.

Too many people were impacted with the $4/gallon.
Too many people complained about full size SUV's thus changing production
Too many people believe that gas will come back up at one point
Too many people believe in the myth called global warming

It's to take care of the roads though. I hate higher taxes, but Christ the roads need to be improved.

Better go out and invest in 460's. Ha.

Think the cheapest I ever saw a gallon was .89 cents back in 99 - 2000ish at the meijer gas station on Brown in Auburn Hills. It'll be back up above $3 before you know it.

my friends dad hauls propane and gets it for close to cost. IIRC During the summer he told me he buys it for $155 ish and they are selling it for @ $3. he said 3 of the top propane company's are under federal investigation for price gouging.

I think we need to reduce the weight of trucks allowed on he roads from 160,000 lbs to 80,000lbs.
