Default 1983 f150 heater core

1983 F-150 300 straight six, auto, 2 wheel drive

Being 5 hours away from my vehicle (Im up the the soo, at lake state) i don't have the ability to see first hand what has to be done, but i gotta replace my heater core over thanksgiving break (be home Saturday) just so i know before i get home, do i have to pull the dash, or do they have another way to access it on this truck? can it be handled out from the engine bay? any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

Its easy to do. The best thing to do is pull the glove box out, its a couple screws. That will allow you to get to the 3 or 4 bolts that old the heater box in. Its like an hour job.

if its as easy as a 88 f150 it will only take 15 min or so. by the sounds of it. it is. take out of the glove box. 6-8 screws and pull it out. be sure that you get the right one for replacement tho. they have several versions.
