Default Tin Cup Trail Ride-11/29

Anyone interested in doing a trail ride on the Tin Cup ORV route on 11/29? I have a stock 95 S-10 Blazer so I'd rather not go alone. The route is between Baldwin and Chase. Let me know who wants to go.
Here's a link to the trail map.

I'm stock too but might be up for that. I do however have plans until 1pm. then it's a touch more than an hour drive. I'll keep an eye on the thread and let you know how things look as we get closer.

Tin Cup and the other ORV Routes in that area are quite boring. I ran them a couple years ago. Well, should I say par of them. I got that bored with them.

Is it just a 2 track through the woods? So you're saying there aren't any obsticles that would cause a stock Blazer to get stuck?

Right off the bat maybe 300 yards in to the east from the parking lot at the bend of King's hwy there's a cut to the right with mud pits. Stuck for sure. Engler's Olds would get thru the rest if you don't mind whoops from quads/bikes.

Pretty much everything e of 37 gets whooped out pretty good esp within 2 miles of trail heads, the alternative being the parallel fire roads.

Anything stock will get you thru almost everything there is to offer and I pretty much think of them as scenic routes to destinations such as Luther, Club 37, Oasis, Natacka(sp).

Its pretty open on Tin Cup. I wouldn't even call it a 2-track.

There used to be a hill section that at least had been eroded and bowled out(?), but the snowmobile forces had it groomed I think. They need everything flat and mellow like a Sunday ride in the park or garage sale search

It's a sand trail about 12 foot wide and lots of whooped does .

not a bad place to take a stock vehicle , no body damage, etc.

Snow would make it interesting.

Is it even open after it snows??????

I am interested in taking a ride in the woods, I have a pretty stock Jeep with pretty bald tires. The only big decider for me would be if the weather is bad or the roads icy. I really need some new tires on my Jeep but might not be able to afford them until after x-mas. I will keep an eye on this thread but please keep me posted as the date gets closer.

unless you have big as in 46's stay away from the mud pits, they're spring fed and clay lined. A friend of mine tried to yank out his brother's YJ and slid into the second hole, his rear seat of his XJ was under water---deep.

The only thing I saw on the DNR site was that trails are closed unless also designated as ORV trails/routes, which the Tin Cup and Lincoln Hills are, correct?
Keep in mind we're talking stockers without mud terrains and just gettin out can be good

I think we can come up with a good stocker ride with options if interested. Forest roads would be a lot more fun than the Tin Cup.
