Default new camera is awesome!

so a few months ago I asked for some recomendations on a point and shoot camera that had a really wide angle lense... well I got it and it was a noticable improvement and I love the camera except for the fact that I cant read the pictures on it from my lap top for some unknown reason. it works on my work computer just fine though.... maybe I have to load the software?

anyways, I took this picture and got a kick out of it just because it has such a wide angle look to it and it is from my nikon s600 p/s

Nice!

When it is plugged into your laptop, or your memory card is inserted, you should be able to see the device in "my computer" and be able to access it's contents just like any other drive. I never install camera software.

You can do without the software, but you'll have to manually select and copy the image files off the camera folder if you want them on your computer. The transfer software will let you transfer selected pictures to your computer with the push of a button.

update:

I'm not sure what was with the memory card but it hasnt been a problem since the first time I tried it... it could have been from the fact that I had over a thousand 3mp pictures on it and it didnt know what to do?

The one downside I found was that you cant do more than 1/2 a day of shooting on the battery (EN-EL10) and I had over 1/2 of a memory card left. I ordered 2 more batteries and a 2gb memory card on top of my current 4gb card... I figure I should be able to get a few thousand pictures in a realistic format size without running into any problems. I'm hoping that I covered all of my bases so I can get all the good moments at ths years KOH race

ohh, I got a pelican 1040 micro case to put it in and realized shortly after getting it that it wasnt big enough for all of the accessories. I just got a pelican 1120 and 1150 case to see which one will be the best for this camera. I might put the unused cases up for sale if anyone is interested in them? If you dotn have a pelican case for your camera you need to check them out, by far the best value and quality for a camera case.

Thats all for my useless update, good day.
