89 Rbv

I just got this 89 Bronco II on saturday in a trade for my BB F150. Its solid no rust, has fresh paint. The bad is it has no interior and no drivetrain in place. It came with (2) 2.9 v6 w/ trans and tcases and a 302 w/aod out of a 86 Cougar. I started cleaning the inside out removing all the screws that were left. My plans are making a dash and bedlining the floor. I'm planning on getting some thin aluminum sheet to make all my panels and I will have to locate some seats. I'm gonna throw the 302 in and hopefully I can figure out a way to use the tbi instead of converting over to a carb.

This is the 302

Engine Bay

Driver side

Passenger side

I started on the interior, its gonna be fun when I get up to the front and have to scrape all the old insulation off.

well, I've got a little more done over the past couple days. I took of the fenders, grill, headlight assembly's to make it easier to put the 302 in. My girlfriend finished grinding and primering the floor while I starting tearing into the v8.

I kind of want to keep it short and wide. It already has a 3 in. body lift.

***She will be keeper if I can get her to do the bedliner too***

thanks....found a fullsize 5 speed with a 1356 case last weekend. Hopefully its not to long or I will have to find a different transfer case. But I'm still gathering parts and trying to get the motor cleaned up.

sweet stuff. The case will fit with alittle trimming or if you keep the crossmember low enough it will clear the framerail.

I figured that much...I'm just worried about the length and having a really short driveshaft

should be about the same length as a stock shaft. Just use the factory trans mount holes on the frame if you can.

I haven't updated this in a while, but I got a little done. The interior is rhinolined. I've got the engine and trans in. The front clip is back on and I will get the transfer case back in tomorrow.

It means "Ranger Based Vehicle". Thanks, its pretty solid. Its gonna need a core support here in the near future, but other than that its solid. It had everything painted not to long before I got it.
