Default Should do it no prolbem... Right?

So my G/F has a 2 wheel drive 01 durango with a V8. That should pull my wrangler on a regular car trailer no prolbem, right?

it will pull it fine; it the stoping you might have issues with, does the trailer have brakes?

I pull a trailer with a cj on it with my 99 Durango, no problems at all, except for shitty fuel economy. I get around 10mpg when towing at highway speeds.

We have a guy in our club that tows his 78 Power Wagon on a trailer behind his Dakota to all our runs. Looks kinda silly but he has been doing it for years with no issues.

I pulled my TJ on a trailer with a Commander with no problems ad I have a 1500 regular cab now with a 6' bed and also have no problems.

Load levelers on the trailer helps a lot for stability and towing comfort.

A brake controller is a must though, IMO. Don't take a chance of putting that much weight on it without the extra braking capacity of trailer brakes. I towed with an '05 Durango once without the controller, and well, I just won't do that again. Had to leave a lot of room.

It should pull it fine. I tow my 89 Yota on 37's (about 4000 lbs plus trailer) with my 03 V8 4Runner and it tows it beautifully. I use a Prodigy brake controller and an Equalizer hitch. Gets about 11-12 mpg towing.
