Cool progress, wheels look great!

Look back at some pics of my old truck on how to groove those SXs, makes a WORLD of difference

Any plans to section that crossbar across the engine, to make it removeable? I'm putting a pair of flanges to make engine work easier.

Hehehe, I tried last weekend to get Patrick inside my Irok's, he wouldn't do it. Great pic, She's getting big!!!

The wheels are H1 8 bolt double beadlocks. I bought them from a guy named 406 YJ on Pirate4x4.com. They were recentered by Tab here on gl4x4 and powdercoated by CPK_Jim also here on gl4x4. As far as price, I'm not sure I want to know

Thanks, Yeah I plan to add plates but I will get that later when I have the grill fenders back off to make it easier on me. I plan to groove the SXs but I want to try them first so I can see the difference.

I got the coilovers in and it now sits on all fours.

I still need to fab up a trackbar but I can at least roll it out of the garage to clean up.

and now some pics......

First time out of the garage since October

It sits at 107" wb and is at 80" to the top of the rollbar but I hope to get it about 2" lower if possible.

cool, they look good. I wish I was running coilovers on my buggy instead of airshocks.

I have the body off to do some small detail work and to finish welding everything. The steering box is from an Astro van but I honestly have no clue what year its from. I ended up moving on the frame because in the stock mounts the pitman arm was low and at a weird angle.

yeah i did something with my frame that is very close to what you did for the same reason. i cut off the front of the frame about were you did you first pie shape cut but i spliced in some 2"x3" tube. i was thinking about flattening out my steering box and moving it forward a bit to gain some steering clearance. i don't want to stretch the front as much as you but i think that if i ran the astro van and flattened it out so that the pitman arm was more level with the ground it would work good. i would also move the mounting location of the astro van a couple inches back towards the driver so that it wouldn't stick out or have my front axle out as far as you.

are the mounting bolts for the astro van the same bolt pattern as stock?

anyway, nice build and keep the pics coming. :)

Thanks everyone.

I got the body off with about 6 guys just lifting it off and putting on the cart. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be.

I guess its time for an update. Tonight WildPig came over and finished all of the welding on my frame, axles and control arms (Thanks Mike ). Now to get some paint and primer on them and start reassembly. I am shooting to have this ready for a Silver Lake trip with our club in the end of June, but I have ALOT of work ahead of me.

Here are some pics with the frame upside down for final welding.
