Default New Offroad Park

Hello everyone. In a time when it seems like more and more of our offroad parks and public lands are being closed it is nice to hear of a new park being opened. We (BDS) have teamed up with Meridian Off Road Center out of Butler, PA (western PA area, north of Pittsburg) to put on the BDS 4x4 Outback Adventure Series for the past 3 years now. These are family-friendly events that include organized trail rides on Sat. and Sun. as well as "free wheeling" for those who want to go explore in smaller groups. Primative camping on the grounds is included. Each year has consisted of 4 weekend events spread out between May and October. We have seen steady growth in attendance and many, many repeat attendees. This year Meridian was able to obtain a long term lease on one of the properties that we have used for two of the event weekends. It is located just outside of Butler in Eau Claire, PA. After getting the lease, Meridian decided to open up the park year round. This is a great opportunity not only for locals but for many people in the surrounding states to try out some awesome Western PA wheeling.

I know for a lot of us in Michigan it is a pretty good distance away (about 8 hours from here in Coldwater) but I still wanted everyone to hear about one more option for a weekend trip. If you are interested and have any questions let me know. If it looks interesting to you but don't have a big enough group to make the trip that is ok, just sign up for one of next year's Outback Adventure Weekends and you will have plenty of wheeling partners! The new event schedule will be posted on the Outback Adventure website as soon as it is finalized.

Check out some details on the park on the Outback Adventure website: http://outbackoffroadadventure.com/park.php You can also see pictures and video from a lot of the past events.

Also, you can take a look at some video from our last Outback Adventure Weekend on our BDS YouTube Channel here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S03m2pMVIQ Sorry about the video quality on this one, our camera has seen some rough days! Most of the video is of the beginner/intermediate trails. They have some extreme runs set up as well.

Again, post up or PM any questions you might have.

Thanks
Matt

A very big THANK YOU for you support and I assume financial backing.

I will certainly be adding this to my place of "must haves" for next summer.
