She's smarter then that but if that's what she feels in her heart then so be it. . . . what's wrong with that?

The new testament teaches that it's important to be generous with your abundance and give as you feel lead to give.

Christians are under absolutely no mandate to give a particular fixed amount. That's total nonsense and isn't supported in scripture.
I laugh at Dave Ramsey and think you are dead on with your last sentence!

The 10% rule was from Jewish Law. The new testament teaches to give with a happy heart. In other words, only give so much as you have joy in giving, not a specific amount based on income. Remember, according to scripture you should give off the top, as everything you own has been provided to you in order to do God's work.

"Under Grace, we do not tithe legalistically, but because we love the Lord" (2 Co. 5:14)

"Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7).

"Tell the sons of Israel to raise a contribution for Me; from every man whose heart moves him you shall raise My contribution" (Exodus 25:2).

Like everyone has said, It's how much you feel like giving. The 10% is just a number from OT things. It's a Good Round number too.

Yeah, It's not so nice. Otherwise churches wouldn't be struggling to keep the doors open. I've been to Many Financial meetings at my dad's church and they defiantly aren't rolling in it. That actually seems to be the case in alot of Non-profit, Christian businesses. The church uses that money to pay the bills and help other people out. Or maybe I should say that is how it SHOULD be. Alot of churches are corrupt and that's what most people see. For those of us that are "blind givers" we actually see what the church does and it's not so blind when you're giving to a body you know is doing the work of Christ. I'd say that's pretty wise and completely OPPOSITE of Moronic.
Also, Tell me were else churhes get thier money to pay for things?

I believe there was something about a Cross, Three nails....That seems enough to give something. If not that, the fact that the money you get isn't yours anyways. But, if you want to keep that attitude you better hope he doesn't have the same attitude to you when you die....

That's actually were it goes mostly. I would say at least 75% of churches struggle with paying those things because of lower amounts of Giving. The other 25% are the mega Churches were the Corruption would be more inclined to happen.

Do you not like Dave Ramsey? I think he's great. I've been starting his program. He's helped alot of people to get out of debt. It may be a Simple program, but it works. I can tell you he's not in it for the money. He's really wanting to help people.

Never, she's my wife, she's perfect, dumping on something as important to her as her religioious beliefs means you have no respect for her.

But we all know thats how you roll!!!!!!!!!!!!
