I can partially agree with this statement. Although, there are a lot people who are proud to see an African American president who aren't expecting a handout/ass kissing.

So if ya had it your way, you'd prolly think that you're the one who deserves the tax break since you make a lot of money? That's what I get from that.

And who the fukc do you figure is going to get a raise from your taxes? What you said makes no sense.

My guy won, your guy lost......get the fukc over it already!

Your guy won but we won't get over it... We're going to be on it to see if the government can deliver half the BS the promised... We will be waiting for one of you liberal to say one thing about how bad things are or are getting...

As to the pay raise it will be in the form of hand outs and bridge card increases as well as other government programs that we hard working pay for... Remember that the top 1% of wealth pays 40% of the taxes so who do you think pays for everything...

Students were lighting off fireworks on campus here. Last night seemed like a bigger party than 4th of July

At least i didn't have to worry about getting shot or mugged last night since everybody was in a good mood.

As for my personal reaction, yes disappointed. But oh wel, maybe some good change will come

Either one can suck but most of the time are for the middle class which is what my family falls into. I donít believe in the trickledown effect and firmly believe the middle class drives the nation. Plus in this case I honestly didn't like Mcain's political views and ideas and liked a lot of obama's. So I picked the lesser of two evils.
I recall times were good during the Reagan era!

And I agree, after eight years of seeing my parent's struggle more and more and my dad getting pay cuts after pay cuts there was no way in hell I was voting in another . My family's best finaincial time was towards the end of clinton's presidency. So I didn't care if he was black, white, blue, or otherwise I just wanted back in office. At least we will see a change for better or worse I just want a change. Can't handle 4 more years of the same crap.

Clinton got lucky and all the credit due to the rise of the dot com era. Plus, Al Gore invented the intranets.........

Yea, and pretty much everything put in place before him by Republicans.

Wasn't it Clinton that oversaw NAFTA, and forced the large financial institutions into approving high risk loans?

Hmm....wonder what all of that created....

Yeah, that was him. But hey, don't forget, it was GWB's fault.

I don't think I deserve a tax break at all...but I sure as fukc don't deserve higher taxes, which is exactly what I'm getting. Since when did the US goverment reign in Robin Hood like powers...steal from the rich and give to the poor? If I had that mentality, I would have just broken into Best Buy and stolen my 60" plasma. I mean hell, they have so many, and they can afford to lose one or two. Jesus Christ.

If you think that just because I make a good sum of money, that entitles the liberal jack asses to more of my money for social programs to give to people that fukc the system, you're out of your mind. Keep in mind, if you keep fucking over the guy that brings the ball to the game, he might just take the ball and go home. At some point, we all break.

I hear ya! I don't think of myself making a crap ton of money but i live a decent life and am able to provide for my family and have a little (I mean little) extra money to have fun with. I live in a middle class neighborhood 1200 sq ft house yah dah yah dah. I currently pay roughly $12,000/year for day care, which is the cheapest I found in my area without sendind me kids to a crackhead lady. Come early next year I'll be adding another kid to the daycare payment. If my taxes go up too high looks like I get to kiss my "extra money" buh bye!

I think if we love our country, we have to support the office of the President and pay respect to the person in the office. The speech he gave last night made me feel a bit better (for now). Unlike the angry libs and the media in this country I will refer to him as President Obama and not "Obama". I will not stoop to the same level as they did with President Bush and refer to him by last name only.

I don't want to hear any of you liberal fuckers saying anything nice about President Bush when he leaves office with his final speech to the nation. You've hated him since day one so don't let your happy asses get all sappy now. When it comes to President Bush shut the fukc up already!

I think President elect Obama and his staff understand that there are lots of people out there who do not support him and his socialist agenda and we are a force to be reckoned with, like it or not. I think he is going to be forced into being everyone's President. Especially once he's been briefed on the real skinny on foreign policy and foreign and domestic intelligence matters.

That said, it bothers me that the house and senate are now democrat too. That part is very troublesome.
