Default Duck hunting?

Anyone on here big into duck hunting? I'm tryin to get another trip together for Saginaw Bay on the 16th of November (a sunday) Ya I know its during deer season but I really don't deer hunt anymore. The blind is $300 and we can take up to 6 people but 4 is plenty ($75 ea)

Went to day and had a blast! We got 6 buffleheads, 5 red heads, and a mallard and it was a slow day. November is usually even more ducks.

I also have aprivate pond in Holly we can hunt. None of my friends really duck hunt.

Ya, thats where we went but it was through a charter. We've went through them for years. It is totally different up there. Like 2 feet deep so you can wear waders and just jump in. Bring a couple boxes of shells and make sure you got the right licenses. Last year DNR gave us shit, ths year they weren't around. Dress warm, lol....today was cold as shit. like 37 degrees and constant 30 mph wind. It is a blast though. Oh ya, if its windy, bring rain gear for the ride out. We got drenched from the boat spray, lol.

Well, like I said, I'm plannin another trip (tryin to anyways) so if ya wanna go again in November, (which you probably will, lol) let me know!

ya, let me know! Oh ya...don't forget the plug in your gun. Last year, my brother in law got a ticket for that and my brother had small game and a stamp, but no waterfowl license (walmart chic screwed up)...he got a ticket too...

Sounds like good times. I havent been to the bay in a few years now. Would be interested in doing some local hunting, as lil guy doesnt spare the time to get away much anymore.

Ya, I hear that....I go out to the pond usually once a weekend if I can for a few hours. Not a lot of birds, but some. I got a wood duck a couple weeks ago and a couple teal on opening day. Still fun to get out though and it's just in Holly.

Some friends just got me into it this year. It sure is addicting.

We usually hunt on state land in milford but it's getting a little too crowded. Maybe if you go to the pond sometime we can get together and get some ducks. Saginaw sounds like fun but money is tight right now.

I shoot at them but they are always so frickin high, lol....

They are better to get late season in the snow. I'll hunt in the fields after they harvest the beans.

Smoke them. PM me if you'd like a marinate recipe or two... and in a smoker they're (both ducks and geese) frickin' awesome. Even those (like me) who "don't like the taste of waterfowl" like the jerkey when done right. I hunt 3-4 days per week. State land marshes, small state land and private lakes both. Not too much into big water, only have a few dozen decoys and my duck boat is small enough I'm not crazy about putting in on the big water. It stays in the back of my truck the entire season! RedNeck. Every year I get less and less into deer and more into waterfowling.
