Haven't had the blazer behind it yet, shouldn't be a problem though.

Nice rig! I used to have a truck like that except mine had 4.10's. I really liked my old HD but just didn't need that big of a truck anymore and went with a half ton. How many miles does it have on it? Where did you purchase it from?

From when I got my 1st jeep over 12 years ago when I was in highschool, I have always wanted my own tow rig, pulling my jeep. I've borrowed tow rigs and trailers, drove my jeep to events and always want to have my own truck, pulling my jeep. For the first time I'm finally able to do that. I was worried after reading how people like towing with 5.3 liter trucks that I would be largely unsatisfyed with the performance. Running almost 50/50 interstate/2 lane roads, I'm happy to report an averaged mpg of 11/14 respectively. That is with the jeep on the trailer, and the bed loaded with 3 large coolers (full), camping supplies and luggage for 4 people and a table. I was overjoyed and the performance of my truck this weekend.

The goose neck blew a tire so while waiting for a spare to show up, we did a photo op of our group.

Well this is the latest Tow Rig... It's a 2012 Chevy 2500HD with the 6.0 and the 6 speed transmission. So far it's doing a fantastic job towing the Jeep as well as being my daily driver.

03 Silverado 1500
5.3, exhaust mods, 5 leaf rear spring packs bigger cooling...
4.10 gears
just hit 270xxx miles all org...

My setup ways about 5000 pounds, and the 5.3 pulls it no prob through the northern MI hills holding 70 mph..... gets about 12 mpg loaded... People say that the 5.3's are dont make good tow rigs but for the lighter rigs around 5000-7000 pounds it tows great even for having 270K....

I have 2 of them but prefer the 06 Duramax LBZ for towing over the 09 Suburban.
