Not a chance Jess. KOH? Yes. KOH with this rig? No. I never want it to see the dust from out there. Edit: KOH camping in the desert? No KOH camping in a campground? Possibly.

Unfortunately this doesn't have the power for a 3 up trailer. Guess we still need you. (well your truck at least)

So use the motor home for a short weekend at Silver lake, but not a week long trip in the desert. Makes perfect sense..

It does if you don't want it destroyed by the dust.

That will be fun to see what you do with that. Are there airbags in it's future?

A lot of reasons I wouldn't take it to KOH. First the dust. I can't imagine the cleaning bill for some of those rigs. Or maybe the owners have enough cash that they don't care. Next, this rig wouldn't maintain being self contained for a whole week. Typically going to be good for 4-5 days. Then you end up hauling water and needing to get the tank pumped. Even at that, the showers need to be sparse and after a cold dusty day out there, a nice long hot shower was nice. I found it to be very comfortable going back to a nice room and stopping for food in town. Finally, our trip out was 3 drivers with a 3 up goose neck trailer. This rig will only pull a single place trailer. So, only one rig and my cost goes up because I am footing the full bill or splitting it with a co driver. Simply doesn't make sense.

The plan here is to start doing more vacationing/sight seeing trips with the wife.

Ford Triton V10. Can't justify (afford actually) the up charge for the diesel.

nice ride Jim!!! I Like. For the miles you'll put on it you'd never get your money's worth out of the cost of a diesel and since I'm guessing you weren't one of the few that won that big lotto you made a good call. You and Diane should have some happy camping in that rig for sure!
