just picked up the new trailer this afternoon...24x8.5 Storm. Only got 10.5 mpg pulling it home, but the truck isn't broke in yet, hopefully it gets a little better over time.

I'm not the only one in the 10mpg club!

Yes, it has the ecoboost engine. I haven't pulled the trailer loaded yet more than a few miles, so I'm not exactly sure what to expect mileage wise...I would be surprised if I got more than 10-12 though. Unloaded, I'm averaging 16 right now with a lot of city driving and a heavy foot....so better than my old 5.4 for sure, and a ton more power.

Got the new wheels and tires on, not the best setup for mileage....but who gives a shit, it is a 6000 lb 4x4.

I bought the white one in October of '09. It was a good truck, but didn't tow too well...3.55 gears and the 5.4 wasn't the best setup, it struggled with my open trailer...so the new enclosed would have killed it. I planned on going back to a diesel, but after driving the ecoboost...I was sold.

I actually saved money by getting this truck. I have always bought my vehicles, but I don't keep them long enough or drive them enough to justify buying anymore. I put 15k miles on the last truck in a year and a half, and I drove to Orlando and back with it. So I leased this one...dropped my payment $75 per month, and they cut me a check for 6k for trade equity on the old truck...this one is MUCH nicer all around, and tows MUCH better. It was stupid for me not to make the swap.
