normaly its a small 2x8 or so steel so that the 5 ich exhaust tube dont get bent in the bed. thats what i would do in my truck if i were to go that route.

I've run plenty of stacks, and always just used an elbow for the bend up...but I've never put stacks on anything that went through the bed.

ya thats the whole thing. the round thin wall tube will get bent way to fast and eash in my truck. you also have to have braces for the stacks and what not. where with the rectangler tubing you can screw it down into the bed and it will be plenty sturdy and not bend and dent. most make a study colar on the box tube for the stacks to fit into and clamp tightly or weld them tight to the colar.

sorry, I normally dont work on anythign that small, and wouldnt bother putting stacks in a pickup...every set of stacks I have ever put on has been on some sort of a semi, which is where they belong, and should stay.


figured I would make that a little more clear...
