Ill go first.

I like the old McCain who was moderate and crossed party lines. I do not like the new McCain who is leaning farther right. I do not like the new Mccain who is running too many attack ads. I do not like the new McCain who only talks about earmarks.

But most of all I do not like Palin. She really screwed the ticket for Mccain. I would probably have voted McCain if he had Pawlenty on the ticket, hes a great governor.

yes I have noticed that obama in his current campaign to oust bush from the white house has aired nothing but positive ads. also, I agree that if we just turn a blind eye to earmarks (including the 100 billion in the recent bailout plan) and ignore them it will be fine.

I am not sure about Mccain due to the fact that his heath isn't all that great and that would put Palin in office and that chick freaks me out. fireing a state trooper for not getting along with her sister. Don't mess with that family.

Er, not quite.
The trooper never got fired. He was no shining star. Open container in official vehicle, poaching and more.

The administrator was an appointed position, he was reassigned and retired.

what info do you have that nobody else has?

He released his medical records which he wasn't required to do, and they looked perfect.

I liked the old McCain… He was a moderate Republican that worked with moderate Democrats. He was a thorn in the side of GWB.

The Old McCain took the high road for torture and wanted the USA to follow the Genève Convention.

The new McCain has gone to Crazy Base-Ville for votes. He could have taken 30% of the moderate Dems and 30% of the Moderate Reps and been sitting pretty with a comfortable 60% lead as an Independent Candidate that fit his reputation that took 26 years to build as an moderate Republican.

The last 12 months have reversed the reputation of a moderate republican.

Agreed, old Mccain good, current Mccain bad. Palin bad.

Too many concessions/changes to try to bring back the true right wing.

Should never have gone to character attacks, reeks of desperation.

Suspending the campaign for the bailout bill talks was risky at best moronic at worst.

Any mention of not attending the debate was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in politics. And before any republican says he was trying to do right or what was best or whatever, think HARD about what you'd say if it had been Obama that wanted to skip out and McCain was all ready to go.

Along those same lines. I'm so sick of hearing people defend this crap with the trooper in AK, if Palin was a democrat the would have been trumpeting that deal from the rooftops. same thing with her experience, if she was a dem that would have been beaten to death just as much if not more than it's been here. JUST ON THE APPEARANCE she should have backed away from the whole deal as far as humanly possible, whether being considered as a VP candiate or not. Political self-preservation should have kicked in big time.

If his health is an issue for being President, why should he have ever been allowed to be a fucking Senator then?

Anyone who's only been around MAJOR (and no Wasilla city gov't does not count) politics as long as her ought to have a pretty empty closet.

Understandable. I'm just saying if it is as big of an issue as everyone makes it out to be, he shouldn't be responsible for anything government related.

By the way, I should point out that I went into things all ready to vote for the old McCain. It's only over the course of the campaign that I changed my mind.

Lesser of two evils, pick your poison. We're in big trouble either way, I don't see Obama as the knight on horseback by a long shot.

Yeah, but you can't discriminate based on health issues. If we discounted everyone running for office of Senator/Representative and above that had health problems, the pool would start getting pretty damn shallow
