and then there is this...

Quote:
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed. Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight. I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful. At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient needed money more. I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.
side note: i didn't actually do this, it was an email my dad sent to me (he didn't do it either, but you get the point). but i think i might try it here in good ole ann arbor

We should start a re distribute labor movement . tell people you want my money , come over and clean my yard, wash my dishes ect.

my kids want money so we tell them pick out an additional chore to do and you'll get the extra money as compensation for your labor.

Don't believe socialism is bad for the average citizen? Look at China, East Germany, Russia..... The only ones who benefit from socialism are the government factions.
I agree. Who here hunts, shoots, even owns a gun with a Deocrat-majority you can say bye bye to all your guns. They are going to hike up taxes on everyone no matter what your income is. Bush gets a bad wrap for what is going on with our economy but you have to look back at Clinton to see what really happen. Clinton was just riding out what Reagan and the first Bush did and the most of the policies he put into effect have put us in the situation we are in now. We won't see the effects of G W Bush until he is out of office and that may take 8 years to see what he really did. Also McCain may not be the best candidate but he is better then Obama. With all the crazies out there Obama wouldn't last a couple of months let along 4 years. So in retrospect you are really voting for Biden. Also when the government gets involved with health care and other things they are just going to mess it up. Look at what Clinton did, under his administration they created Trailblazers and for those who don't know what that is, it is free health care for illegal aliens payed for with your tax dollars.
