Default Obama supporters = Unamerican?

as I have been driving around the past few days I have noticed that a vast majority (90%+) of the cars I see that are plastered with Obama stickers are all foreign made vehicles. If his supporters are so worried about jobs, the economy, etc, and that he is the best candidate for this country, I think they would look at themselves a little more.

Perhaps it is just me or has anyone else noticed things like this?

So you are saying that "Obama supporters = non American" because Obama supporters drive foreign made vehicles. Does that mean that people who drive "foreign made vehicles = non American?

In a way, yes. If people are so concerned about America surviving with jobs, a solid economy, etc. then why would you not help to support it by driving an American made vehicle?

I mentioned the Obama support thing specifically because his campaign is all about changing the way we do things to make a better America. If his supporters really cared about a better America, I would assume they might do more to help support the cause rather than just throw a vote at someone.

Resource allocation.

The Gallup StrengthsFinder quiz, which some of you may have taken, is focused on pointing out the strengths of the individual who has taken the quiz, with the intent that the individual will focus on their strengths to improve.

The theory behind this is, if you focus on improving your weaknesses, your weaknesses do not improve that much, while your strengths get a little worse over time. If you were to focus on your strengths, your strengths will improve exponentially while your weaknesses will not drop off that much.

That being said, is it worth propping up a dying beast (auto industry) and allowing it to claim the resources that could be reallocated (by the natural market swing) to an American business that is performing well (and drastically outperforming foreign competitors).

Let them buy the car that they want to, I'm not going to bitch.

America is not just a giant auto industry.

-Jim
(P.S. I only drive American, by CHOICE.)

Guess the owner of this site is unamerican since, last I heard, he drives a Toyota.

Yea, I know, built here, there, nowhere, everywhere. I buy from the company I work for. I do not buy from companies based in Japan.....so far.

I will try and clarify the thought I originally had here as I see how I mis represented it. I was not ripping Obama himself. I am asking about his supporters. They all want him elected for a better America, but in my experience his supporters seem "confused".

The autos and stickers were merely an example. They all want this better America, but seem unwilling to create a better America themselves. They all just want a piece of the pie and no work involved with it.

To me it appears that they want a better America without being better Americans themselves either by their actions or the items they buy. Does anyone else get that feeling as well?

I see you have done some serious research to support your stance behind appointing the next leader of our country.

IMO... The big three keep Michigan moving, if you live in Michigan, you should buy a Ford, GM or Chrysler product. I was raised that way, and if they are still in existence when i have children, they will be raised that way as well. I don't work for any of them, I work for all of them, so I will continue to support them because indirectly, they support me.

My customers are mold builders and tool and die shops. Because GM, Ford and Chrysler have sent so much of the tooling business overseas, many of my customers have gone out of business or their biz dropped drastically, meaning my business dropped as well. Look at Collins & Aikman, PlasTech, Tower Automotive, Delphi, American Axle. The big three fucked Michigan. F them! ps I drive a dodge, Nancy drives the jeep
