88 F250 auto trans... what OD trans will swap in?

What trans will swap in a F250 2wd 460 F250?

I do not know Fords at all.

An aod will swap in if you currently have a c6. I wouldnt bother with an e4od.

I do not believe there is an AOD, or AODE, with the "big bell" for a 460. You would need an adaptor. The E4OD can be had in either small or big bell. Baumann engineering makes a controller for the E4OD swap, but it is pricey.

If I do something like this... it will be as inexpensive as I can get it.

Ford isnt like Chevy huh? So easy to swap transmissions on Chevys.
