Default Scope for a Mini-14

I'm looking for a new scope for my Mini-14. I bought the gun used and the scope that came with it is a real piece of junk. I don't want to spend a ton of cash on a scope since the Mini isn't the most accurate rifle out there in stock form, but I think the gun would be a lot more accurate with a better scope.

Anyone have a suggestion for a moderately priced scope?

even if you dont want that scope i would stick with leupold there base scope is a rifleman and it retails for 199.99. there warranty is second to none! i bought a vx2 out of a pawn shop in arizona for 120 out the door and it was complete junk (which i knew when i bought it) sent it back to leupold and 2 weeks later i got a brand new one in the mail. the one i bought was completely beat to shit and probably 20 years old
