Have any of you had to purchase your owm health care outside of work? My family did. For 2 adults and one child it was 350 dollars a month 10 years ago. That comes out to $4200 a year. As I understand it, McCains plan is to give everyone 5000 bucks to help them buy health insurance. Does anyone else see the flaws here? 1) Its not going to cover the cost of insurance for an average sized HEALTHY family, much less an unhealthy family (one with diabetes, elderly, etc) 2) How does the plan ensure that the money goes to health care and not big screen TVs? I am willing to bet that half the people in the USA will use that money to pay off bills or buy stuff rather than rationing it to use for health care every month. If they blow it, guess what? We are back to square one and they will be going to the hospital as an uninsured patient that the INSURED once again have to pay for, therefore driving costs up. I am not sold on this health care plan.
if they blow it then they are to unedumcated to desirve to live ps i dont want to pay for all of joe sixpacks health care when i work so hard to find a job where that is a benfit

people here crack me up. I have to laugh.

the black promise of the quota candidate that would not be here if he were not black. the pushing the guilt of the poor black man from a broken family. the american lemmings are so eager to follow the quasi hip-hop flute of the ghetto child. I have a dream of free money for everyone and it's bush's fault I am a black man.

much like the tactic of the bolsheviks circulating untrue fantasy propaganda to an illiterate and gullible citizenship, obama is succeeding in charming; in this case the mentally illiterate population of america too lazy to think for themselves.

the old capitalist war hero out of touch with the growing younger generation raised by parents that felt their income was more important than raising their kids to have high moral standards and a good quality work ethic. the generation who immediately wants everything without having to work for any of it. the generation who want the law to be written that everyone wins and nobody loses.

I have news. healthcare is already moving toward HSA's. the rates will save business money. the problem is that the patient will have to pay out a set amount before the insurance kicks in. most cases it's either $2,500 for a single and $3,500 for a family. you will have to pay out that amount before your insurance will cover anything. including prescriptions. I have sat in on a ton of meeting for switching to this. each year you will have to front that money.

I am sooo sick of the bush bashing. whiny fawking losers trying to direct the blame away from themselves. and people wonder why nobody respects us as a nation. the fact is all those getting in line to swallow obama's propaganda cumshot it what americans are all about now. his polished pre-recorded rallies are only short the filmwork of Leni Riefenstahl in a triumphant modern day triumph of the will.

suck deep, suck long. we are the nation that likes to act tough but in reality are a bunch of pussies who want to suckle at the government tit. the nation that loves the handouts for doing as little as possible. the nation that craves more pay for less work. the nation of i will do only what I have to, to get my check every week. ME, ME, ME. we are the nation of people who will die for their beliefs as long as we don't have to die for them. the nation that cannot call people fags or retards for the simple reason that it makes us sad there is an ugly side to humanity.

back to the tit of the politicians that cannot lead ants to a pile of sugar.

we would rather pay money to bail out corruption than live through a hard time. put the nipple back in our mouth and turn a blind eye to the criminals that caused the problem. slowly we fall asleep to the heartbeat of the government promise. we don't care as long as we see the bottom line of how it will affect our bank account.

the cycle goes unbroken. in the end it's not who you vote for but that you vote. People have died for that right. don't take it for granted. whether you support obama or mccain, once elected and allowed to do what they want people will complain. it is a system designed of fail, too corrupt to change; it's people too afraid of change for fear of a little struggle. being a 3rd generation american I come from stock that fled the bolsheviks. in fact they had kill to eventually cross the straits and come to america through canada. would you kill to keep your freedom should a tyranical fascist be empowered? probably not. people are too selfish.

Thays why it is a tax incentive.
If you pay 3k on your policy, you get 3k back.
If it cost you 7k, you get 5k back.
If they gave you 5k, you might buy a boat and go without healthcare.
I have healthcare, so 5k probably would buy me a boat (4x4, quad, guns, week in Belize).

I don't think we want the government managing our healthcare.

you miss the point. capitalism is driven by the promise of unlimited potential. only a small amount of people understand this. people want to cling to those who promise more for less.

the selfish comments on the fact that very few of americans would actually pick up a gun and be prepared to die in order to reform our government. it simply is too much work. instead they are contempt in just dealing with what they get.

You miss the point. Selfishness is an essential part of capitalism. Some people (practical people) realize that there is a limit to potential. There may be a high ceiling...but, in a world of limited resources there is a limit. Selfishness is key.

LAZYNESS on the other hand, is the driver of socialism/communism.

WTF? She wins for meeting exceedingly low expectations. "Ah hey boss can I have a promotion. Gosh gee, I showed up to my job and didn't screw anything up" wink, wink.

The only thing Palin showed is that she's qualified to run a small town in Alaska and that's about it.

AGAIN. you are applying the selfishness to capitalism. I am applying the selfishness to the american people who would not defend their freedom should our government become tyrannical.

Just look at the "tone" of the debate... Palin is up beat, she is speaking forward.... Biden only is beating the "McCain is Bush" drum, he is down and negitive.

The voting records from congress are very easy to distort.. for both sides.
That distortion is why we get few members of congress actually win the white house.

I know, Palin screwed up by mentioning it. That's what I'm saying. As soon as she said it I knew that Joe was going to call her out on that being a distorted way to contrive someone's ideals.
