Mccain and Bush are half the same. Which half will rule when/if in office is hard to say.

Obama will cost you money. Regardless of who you are. You can't have all theses nifty new government programs without paying for them somehow. I own more than one business and guess what if they raise my taxes, I am not just going to make less next year. The tax increase will get passed on in higher prices to you "Let someone else pay" Democrats. Wake up!

Yes, NAFTA started as CAFTA (Canadian American Free Trade Agreement) and was introduced to the American vocabulary by Ronald Reagan while he was running for his first term. Bush sr. championed the cause and it was finally signed into law within a month after Clinton took office. They all had a hand in it. But, of the 4 presidents involved, only one was a Democrat.

Just a little food for thought.

i don't support them, really. i am simply taking the better of 2 unsavory options. no matter who we put in office, we are going to have to wait quite some time for a upturn in our economy. obama, imo, will only fukc it up worse, even if he has good intentions. people bitch about how Cheney controls bush, well biden will really make obama dance to his tune. obama is gonna be in over his head, and biden is where he will turn for advise.

OK, I will take a quick stab at this. Listen to any of the spin coming out of Washington right now. Both parties are blaming each other for things that happened dating back to the Clinton administration.

In the last 14 years, the Republican party controlled Congress for all but the last 2 years.

The Democrats took a simple majority in the Senate and a slight majority in the House. Neither majority is fillibuster proof and neither majority can overturn a Presidential veto.

I will never say that the Democratic party is fault free, but just pointing out the actual control of the congress in the recent past.

Glad you cleared up your stand. I was simply doing my "devils Advocate" duties in pointing out that they were both promising change.

they have to promise change, the media has told us we are unhappy and people believe it. obama might actually try to make a change, he is young and radical. mccain is older, he knows the economy runs in cycles, and he knows what we are doing has more or less worked for a long time. a steady hand is needed more than some magical change.

same here. between the deq, osha, state, federal taxes, licenses, insurances and bonds its almost impossible to make a buck. to add insult to injury congress gives free money to the big corporations.
