I understand the concept of "doing"; my point was more to get you to name an action that he will do.

I'm still waiting.

I will but a spin on this. I look at it like this...Im going for a promotion internally (im a senior manager) in my company that requires me to be out of the country at another location. The CEO makes an anouncement the day Im about to leave that the company is on the verge of bancrupcy, and needs all the senior managers, upper managent and financial staff to put all attention on this issue. Instead of me being involved with the issue at hand, I go to the interviewing process and say if you need me you know how to get ahold of me. When I look at it like this its a no brainer what anyone would do in that situation. But when you put a political twist to it the blinders come out and everyone joins in on the obomination band wagon...

p.s. He was not raised a Muslim, he went to a school that was perdominantly muslim, while living in a predominently Muslim country. At a young age, for a short time. What terroeist group does he have ties to? Please inform us so we can call Homeland Security. As for gun control, he is pro second amendment but wants local government to have control over carry laws.
Yes, a little research can verify all of htese statements.

Like him or not you have to respect Bob Dole's voluntary resignation from the senate in '96. IMO, that is the single most honorable and classiest campaign event I've witnessed since I've been of voting age- since '92.

I can't argue with this as I agree somewhat. But that is not the way it is.

You are correct, he is not the president.

My point was, and I am sure most got it, is that these guys are running to be president. Will McCain act the same way if elected? We are just over a month away from election day. These guys need to show us how the will act if elected. Taking a "Time-Out" is not very presidential in my opinion.

We have the ability to communicate and travel at a very quick pace these days. The candidates already criss cross the country on a regular basis and communicate with their people around the country. They have staffers still working on capital hill. There is no reason they can not stay in touch and up to date while still campaigning.

Beside, W. manages to govern from his ranch in Crawford quite often, and according to some, quite well.

I'm not saying the situation is not serious. I'm asking if he NEEDS to suspend his whole campaign for a vote.

You make it sound like congress just show up and raise their hand once in a while? Although sometimes it seems like that is the case, I doubt that is all they are doing right now.

Earlier today, Barack made a brief statement to the press and took questions regarding the ongoing economic crisis, his decision to reach out to John McCain this morning to suggest issuing a joint statement urging Congress and the White House to act in a bipartisan manner, and John McCain's suggestion that Friday night's debate be postponed: "

Hows about NetMeeting? Webstream? Email? Multitasking? I want a president who can do many things at once.

The economy will stay the same for a few more days, for Gods sake there are only two trading days left this week. Lets hear about the issues instead of skirting them.

Yup, heard that on the news this week.

All I hear is people saying they want to hear about the issues.

I'm sick of listening to talk, I'd rather see action.

To each his own I guess...

Debates are a dog and pony show. Nothing substantive comes from debates
