Default Rose City legal trails

Up around the rifle river area and Ogemaw hills area, are the trails and 2 tracks legal.. Does anyone have some good areas they know that would be awesome for a bunch of us to plan from the Mt Pleasant area. We are all capable but this is a new area for us.
Any map directions, lists of roads etc would be greatly appreciated, I know of OSTC, couldn't make it last time. Only legal areas please
Dnr don't like anyone in midland county driving done seasonal roads in groups I guess.

Do not make an organized ride and you won't have issues from the DNR. It is the organized event they have seemed to have a problem with in the past several years.

If you look there is another thread discussing St Helen. I would suggest seeing if you could hook up with them. That is close to the same area you are discussing.

IIRC there are some trails north of Lupton, and then you can also pull up the Huron National Forest that runs just north of south branch. There should be some trails out there also.

Baldwin is the complete opposite side of the state than he is looking for.

That would be the Manistee Forest over there.

To the OP have you looked at the maps on the Fed and DNR sites? they are available to print and download there.

I actually got a map from the Quality Inn in W.Branch from on of those broucher stands which has a very detailed layout of the truck trails in Ogemaw and Rose City. Not to far from OSTC too.
