Hey man if you got any questions or need any parts let me know. I have a set of bds 4 in lift rear springs ill let go fairly cheap if you need a set. They work real nice and ride good. I miss my old bronco. But it was time to move on. Oh and i think those are 42s in that pic from pirate. I fit 40s on mine with 4 in of lift and some trimming.

That may have had a litte something to do with the change...

It should be fun. Nothing remotely as detailed as your build though. I do have some neat ideas on protecting that big ol body though, I think it's going to be a cool build.

Hey, I appreciate it. I went through your build a while ago looked like you used it pretty well. I maybe interested in those springs. I'll let you know.

You know, I thought they looked bigger, but I thought I read they were 38's and he was making sure he had room for 42's... I couldn't find it today though, so I could very well be mistaken.

Yeah something like that. Not totally an exo, but more like some Strategically placed tubing tying into the cage... I guess it would be a hybrid exo-ish kind of thing. I'm working on some sketches, and I'm hoping to get something drawn up on the computer this weekend.

Yep, that's pretty much what I'm thinking. One down the front fender, and one along the quarter. Go through the body and tie into the cage. I'm thinking about a kind of exo-halo for the cab too, I have a feeling even with fender trimming and trying to keep it low, I'm going to be rubbing a lot along the drip rail. I'm not sure if I would go down through the roof and tie it together inside, or run down the a-piller for some windshield protection too. I really need to get it down to my house so I can start getting some good measurements and see how stuff will lay out. Maybe this weekend.... we'll see.

I've got a line on some 5" skyjacker coils, if I get those, I'll probably want those leafs from you. I should know for sure what I'm going to do this weekend.

Starting to collect parts....

I ended up picking up a complete parts rig from bluminade. Seems to have a good running 460/C6, and 4.56's front and rear. It also has some kind of lift, but I'm not sure what, or how much. He also threw in some 5" skyjacker coils. (if anybody needs a decent 84 ranger body, let me know)

I'll be ordering up a set of Moser 35 splines for the rear. Anyone have a good source for these? Most places I've found are are charging the same as ordering direct..

I also need to decide between a detroit in the rear, or a full spool. If the truck turns out how I want, it will likely see a bit of pavement, so I'm kind of leaning toward the detroit.

I'm still debating what to do with the front 60, if I want to extend the tube, or cut back the housing. I think I'll end up ordering some BTF or Ballistic Radius arm/coil mounts and see how much room I need.

Also... I finally scored a NP203, so the doubler is definitely in the works. I think I'm going to go with Jed's machining. His prices are so much better than the others. I'm going to use a re-splined shaft to start, and he said if I ever break it, he will discount the replacement billet shafts... so, win/win I guess. I wish the weather was going to stay so I could get started!!!

I'll be up North this weekend, so I'm hoping to have her running and moving, and I can get some pics as she sits now.

Well.. here she is.......

-V1.0

-V2.0

OK... Just Kidding, that was my first bronco. 79, 429, NP435 35" boggers and 7" lift.

If you look closely at the second picture, you'll see the maroon bronco in the back ground. That's the new project.

[QUOTE=VonDirt;1580364]nice

Yeah, it was like Christmas....

I bought the doubler off of here, but it's from Jed's Machining. It's the exact one I was going to buy anyway, so I just saved some money on it.

I went up north and grabbed one of my 205's yesterday, so I'm hoping to get both t-cases cleaned up and fitted this week. I'm running out of time though. My wife is scheduled to have a c-section on the 27th..... number 2. So time is going to be scarce. At least the weather is getting better so I'll be able to work at night after the kids are asleep...

I'm a little creeped out, but thanks. I do miss that truck. She went through a lot of abuse back in the day....

I did some measuring last night to get an idea of what I can do with the suspension. I plan on linking the rear at some point, but would also like to drive it this summer. So, I'm thinking about sticking with the leaves in the back and possibly doing a spring flip. That alone will streatch the rear about 7". In the front I have about 4" of clearance between the steering gear box and the radiator. With the radius arm suspension, I can pretty much put the front where ever I want. I'm thinking it will only be about 2-3" of streatch in the front. That puts me at around 114" for the wheel base. Until I can really dig into it, that's not set in stone, but gives me a good idea of what I can do without major frame or suspension re-work.
