To clarify some issues here, since UP_roktoy thinks he's found something cool, heres the DL. GL4x4 put a $5.00 markup on the OSTC event which was given to deano to help move a new loader to the OSTC park in order to move more rocks. Not only did all this money go back to OSTC (which is being used for a rock loader) but three of us paid out of our pockets to help with the additional fees. We did this because we think Deano will put forth some good effort with his new equipment in order to make this park what it could be.
Please don't make this post into any , there isn't any. We weren't going to bring it up that we helped pay (out of our pockets) to move a loader, but since uproktoy thinks its such a big deal, I figured I would post it up. So while you thought you caught me "making a profit" what you didn't realize is that I also paid out of my pocket, as well as advertised this event so we could help deano move a loader to his property to make the courses better for the future wheelers there.

Thanks for bringing it up though.

Well it should be known. Thanks for clarifing.

Hopefully it will help others see that what is trying to be done here is a huge effort into getting a local spot, other than the Mounds that not only Noobies, but seasoned wheelers can enjoy.

Kudos to you and others that have put forth the effort and funds to do so. I can't financially pitch in, but that's why I'll continue to go back when we're allowed.

Deano, thanks but no thanks.

I only came back out because I told you when I rolled my rig I would be back up and running next time you opened up for us "full-size" guys again.

I was dissapointed that nothing was changed. And to think I thought the last 3 events were to show you how much interest there is in a good off road park in mid Michigan.

This is were you need to "invest" in your property. If you are waiting for all the funds to flow in to start biulding nothing will get done. The more you biuld the more we will come. Huh, that sounds kinda cliche.

I think the land is great, the rock courses are great for the guys up to 35" tires. I think you need to use that new loader of yours to move those giant boulders that are scattered around the track and campground to make a big boy rock course!

considering the size of the park and what's open to us ... there's a lot of spots there that are not being used.

I was the first and probably only one to pass the spot that my avatar is and it was almost enough to flop me over.

Huh... do the people donating to the "improvement fund" get shares of the future profit?

Last I knew you had to actually put some of your own ass on the line to gain success in a business.

I agree.... even though the last 3 events put a sizeable chunk of change in their pockets.... it's too bad that dino wont put even just 25% of that back into the park in fuel for something other than the mx track.

Dino,
we, as four wheelers, held up to our end of the agreement which was showing you enough interest to justify the improvements and additions to the park which are mostly rock based. when are you going to follow through and make it worth our time and money to visit your place again? we gave you 3 weekends of heavy traffic revenue that you would NOT have had if you weren't approached a year ago by a select few. the least you could do is hold up to your end of things and put some of that money back into your investment before it looses our interest.

O.S.T.C.

first off; THERE IS NO CLUB. this is simply people across the state and a few across the country that frequent a website, there is no affiliation, dues, newsletters, voting or anything that would relate this website to being a club.

so what do you mean by saying "it takes time"?

do we need to make more trips out there to show continued support? (I'm honestly not seeing any more big turnouts since there have been no improvements done and we are all bored of what is there.)

are you going to do work to what you have and you just are going to do it in a year from now?

fill us in, we would like to know when WE are going to get the return on our investment of patronizing a park that has little to offer built up rigs at this point.

and I have built MANY motocross tracks, I know what it takes and I know how fast you can put things together when you put in some hard work.

sad to say, it has already lost interest of quite a few.

It's obvious now that it's going to take a major upgrade and movement of some large rocks to get large numbers again.

As a guy who is relatively new to the sport, and brought my DD, we had alot of fun, although the rain sucked for spectators. I have never been to OSTC before. I really enjoyed watching guys tackle Impossible. I understand the rock crawl issue, and although I can't participate in that type of course(again..DD), I like watching and learning. As far as the entrance fee, it was a bit of a surprise. My Jeep gets about 30 ft. per gallon, and being 2 hrs away, and the entrance fee(and SURPRISE, rider fees), I spent over $200 for one day of fun. Hard to justify, especially to the wife.
To OSTC- You do have alot of possibilities there, and look forward to some winter fun. I will be back.
