Default 8" Steel Cylinder / Tube or Similar.

I am looking for a steel, thin walled, 8 cylinder. It needs to be at least 12 long or so. Looking for ideas or objects that might be able to be modified to look like an oil tank for my motorcycle. It will hold the battery but look like an oil tank. I could make one from scratch, but there must already be something out there that might work. It needs to be 8" (or at least real close).

I'll look around at work, but everything there will probably be too heavy of a wall for what you want...

damn, got busy and forgot about this again...I have a good idea of what you can use though...steel air intake tubing...should be able to find something close to that diameter, and hopefully a good straight section at least 12 inches long..and its probably1/16 wall or so...

I have an air tank that I bought for on board air from Kilby that is about 8" diameter (maybe a little less), but it is pretty thick-walled I think. Just a thought, I'm not giving you mine.

**edit: here it is

Kind of pricey though if your just going to cut it up.

What about a "retired" scuba tank, or a nitrous bottle? Could probably pick up an old scuba tank from a dive shop...

Air / nitros tanks might work, but they are way thicker than I would need. I think a couple of these suggestions might be the ticket!
