Default Christian Jeep Clubs??

My Pastor just bought a JK and has already started getting it ready for offroading (He's a pretty cool Pastor) I know there are a couple of Christian based Jeep clubs around here but I'm not sure what the names of them are. Can anyone help me out with a couple of clubs/forums that I can tell him about?

Why would you try to segregate yourself outside of church? Is it really that different wheeling with non-Christians.

It's more fun to wheel with people that like the same kind of trails and terrain right. You like spending time with people who have your same interests right. Seems like a good idea if you ask me.
It would be awesome if more of my Christian friends were into wheeling.

I think I know him. I used to go to Woodhaven FWB on Allen Road and we played in the same softball league. Do you know the Dennis's, Jeff is our age.

Once upon a time I was a part of 4given4x4. Our goal was not to wheel with Christians only. We just provided a family safe atmosphere and this allowed alot of people to bring along their kids. At the time this was started, there was not alot of clubs/groups that offered that. Also, it gave alot of people that never really hung with Christians a chance to see that we are cool to hang out with an no different then 99% of the population. Some of 4given's best memories were wheeling with the Misfit Offroaders.

Wether or not they have seperated themselves now, I don't know. I don't follow the group anymore. But if they are, then that sucks! It's about meeting people, building friendships. Not a Christian coddling group.

OK it just sounded to me like it was for Christians ONLY. That just seemed strange. Bad assumption on my part.

yes it is very diffrent. being a member of clubs from both sides and having wheeled with both i find them to be two distinct groups of wheelers.

I'm sorry if anyone thought that I was looking for just Christian's to wheel with. That is not what I was trying to find when I ask the question about the sites. Our Pastor is a very cool guy and I'm sure he is just like me and has quite a few non-christian friends. He is a family man and likes to include his family in activities so I was just looking for a family atmosphere for him. I have wheeled with some people from here and I have had a great time but let's face it, most people probably wouldn't want to bring small children on "SOME" of the trips (maybe because of the trials and maybe because of the language etc) As a Christian I think it's important to hang around everyone no matter what their religion is. I never push my religion on anyone but I'm always here to talk to someone if they want to learn about Christ. We have a great church with a contemporary service and a ton of young people so if anyone wants to stop by you are more than welcome. Once again I hope I didn't offend anyone because it's not what I set out to do. When I get another Jeep you will see me out on the trails again.

Yes Aaron plays on our softball team and the name sounds very familiar, I'll have to ask my wife who they are she is better with names than me.

4Given has not been as active in recent time, but there is still strong members and trips planned about 5 times a year, as well as wrenching together and such.

I would highly recommend he get connected there, and also to visit this website, which is a coalition of christian 4x4 clubs and groups: www.ucora.org (make sure you hit forums)

so again: http://www.4given4x4.org/phpBB3/
and again: http://www.ucora.org/forum_ucora3/index.php

Enjoy!

Yea, it is. I try and be selective with the people I wheel with ( and golf, etc.) especially when my family is present. There is enough crap in the world that my kids are exposed to without me condoning "bad" behavior by exposing them to some people that drink to excess, swear everyother word, F-this, F that, etc.
While I don't get down on people who act that way, I don't choose to spend time with them.......

Here is where I will get flamed... I wheel at Jeep Jamboree events with the whole family because I have found those events to be more family oriented than most. Better organized, less bad language, practice tread lightly, etc.
