lockrite question - Great Lakes 4x4. The largest offroad forum in the Midwest

Will a lockrite locker that was in a 91 xj work in a 86 cj7? They both have the dana 30 up front but didn't know since the xj was a high pinion and the cj is a low pinion.

High pinion, low pinion, short pinion, 1973, 2002- the Lock Right doesn't care. We are just talking about D30s, now, D35s are a different animal. D44s swap as long as the spline count is the same, and D60s, as well.

As long as the carrier break is the same, full Detroits, limited slips, etc, will also follow the above rule.
