I must admit, I am a n008 when it comes to speedboat shenannigans...
Considering the size of lake st. clair it would not have been hard. In this particular instance I am pretty sure he would have just let me go and assumed I had never saw him.

I didn't do anything wrong, more then anything I think he thought I was drunk...or stupid, or both. We were out in 3-5 footers when we shouldn't have been.

Unless they called in a copter, losing the cat would have been pretty easy. There are multiple rivers, canals, etc on the northeast corner of st. clair, not to mention the st. clair river goes all the way to lake huron. To add to that we were going to forum member "roger" s cabin, which was off one of the main channels on a small canal, by the time we woulda turned off they never would have seen/found us.

Regardless if it was a serious offense there is no sense running unless you have a safe place to hide.

By the time I ran to the boat launch, sprinted to the truck, pulled the boat out, etc. tey would have kicked my ass in no time.

I bet bigcountry could've done it and cited the laws that allowed him to do it legally.

BTW, I drove through fenton on saturday and got a boner. Were you home?

I wouldn't mind getting something nice and quick, but I would rather have a cruiser that I could take up and around the Georgian Bay and all through Canada again...I went on a few trips up there with my parents when I was a kid on their boat, and I have yet to be on a better trip.

I don’t want anything big or extravagant...just something small and simple like this 63' 1998 Sea Ray Super Sun Sport:

Just kidding...I have always loved these boats, saw a few out on the lakes and I have loved them ever since. Just a little out of my price range though.

This is more like something I will probably end up with….I have always liked these too, and it is a little more reasonable for a po’ ol’ bastard like me.

It is a 1997 26’ Crownline CCR, single 454, cuddy cabin…just what I need for now. I have been keeping an eye out, and you can find them for a good price these days. But I wont be ready to buy for another year or two, I want to be debt free before I buy anything else.

With that fishin boat motor on the back, Chad could blend in anywhere.

I have always liked the Crownlines for cruisers. Funny, the solid red is what set me off the first time.

My buddies dad had a solid green (real dark forest green) crownline, was a real sharp boat.

scooter you can run, but you better be able to hide.

most coast guard boats are not real fast...but if they called the helo out well then your pretty much done for.

Yeah, my buddies dad had an all red 23' open bow with a 350...nice boat, it moved really well too.

They are asking $21,900 for the one I posted and it is a 97, but it doesnt say how many hours are on it. I have seen low hour ones that were identical for under 20k...which seems like an OK price, especially considering how much the new ones cost. Oh well, another year or so and I will start looking more seriously, I want to pay off all of my other BS first.
