Default SFA Sonoma Steering box

I have not been able to locate just a dropped pitman arm for my truck around town so I am looking into just swapping steering boxes.

Is there another steering box that would work with my S10 style steering shaft that might have about a 4" drop pitman arm?

use a jeep cherokee pitman arm.. will bolt right onto your Sonoma's Steering box and give you roughly 4" of drop

Alright, so I got a pitman arm for my truck, but now I got a situation...

The factory pitman arm dropped behind the steering box, but with the steering setup for my axle, I need it to drop to the front of the box.

If I just throw the pitman arm on there so that it is facing forwards, that will make me steer the opposite directions, correct?

Is that the reason many people use an Astro box? Is there a certain year I should get one from?

It almost sounds tempting to play around the yard with...

Thanks, any idea how much I should be willing to spend for one at the junkyard? The same pitman arm works?

If you are looking for a yard with some astros I'd goto Erickson's salvage here in the burg. Hes real fair!

I try to avoid Genes and all the other places in TC like the plague..Swains or Ericksons always have what I'm looking for and there prices are always fair.
