Updates!

I have been kicking butt on the front end yesterday and today. Here is what I have done so far:

What I really like about FJ40's are their Fender Approns. So I wanted to build some skins that gave the FJ the FJ40 look. I am not ready to make the skins just yet, but here is what I am probably going to end up doing with the front end.

looking great, are you going to have something to protect the new front clip?

I have a feeling you won't need to rebuild this one again!

I dislike the Twisted customs bib/grille and it is too narrow. Oh and too much money

I might add a TrentFab Lexan hood later down the road, but I really just need to direct the funds towards finishing this and going wheeling at the first of November.

updates!

I pieced together my Full Hydro parts and end up with everything including a large cooler for around $700. The Orbital is a non-load sensing and about 3.5 turns lock to lock.

New Tie Rod/Tie Rod ends and ram mount:

Radiator mount:

Front end, painted and assembled:

Most excellent. I really like how clean and tucked away the winch is mounted in there.

Here is my TrentFab Lexan hood:

(or what I would have spent $500 on if I did not need this Injection pump for my Duramax :tonka:)

Hood painted and installed:

Alright, that is all for today...off to take Jeepman784 out to celebrate the finish of his Kzoo Clinical study!

Very, very nice build, your work clearly speaks for itself, but I'm a little concerned....if you're still using the original cowl, firewall, and part of the frame from this...

...then all your hard work is still going to smell like this....

...some rigs can never overcome the sins of the previous owner.
