What can he say?

That's Palin's strength - she has a list of things she did, perhaps on a smaller scale, but she DID THEM.

Obama has to enhance his history to make the less-meaningful things he did (i.e. "community organizer" = social worker) look more important than they actually are.

I follow, but she did more important things than he mentioned. I think he purposefully mentioned things that would play up the "just a mayor" mentality...things that you or I do on a Sunday night before going to bed for work in the morning (I know that her accomplishments are on a larger scale [not just picking up one person's garbage], but it drives me nuts how he was attempting to belittle and it's' written off as praise).

and he shows his immaturity and lack of leadership by doing so, hence hurting himself, so why are you upset?

They need to be careful with comparing her time as mayor with his time as a "community organizer”. While he was a US senator, she was a governor. While he was a state senator, she was a mayor. While he was practicing law and teaching, she was city council member. When he was a "community organizer”, she was Miss Wasilla.

Wrong.

He has been a Senator for 12 years, 4 as a US senator, 8 as a state senator.

She has been an “executive in government” for 8 years, 2 as governor, 6 as mayor.

Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2004, he has been running for president since 2006. Two years. For a total of eight.

Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska city council from 1992 to 1996. then won two terms as mayor of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002.
She chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from 2003 to 2004.
Elected governor of Alaska in November 2006.

Thirteen by my count.

On edit: If we throw out serving on elected bodies she does indeed have eight and Obama has....

Even if you assume that he stopped being a Senator when he started running for president, 2+8=10

I would not consider a city council member an “executive”. That’d be closer to being a “legislator”. And being a representative of the public on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is questionable as an “executive in government”.

I personally would like to see MORE praise from each side and a bi-partisan government.

Obama's Federal Government resume:

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/person.xpd?id=400629

Bills Obama has sponsored during the 110th Congress:

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/pers...0629&tab=bills

Just because a person is running for President does not mean he does nothing in Congress. The candidates do return when necessary. And, if you are going to comment on Obama not being there, how many times has McCain run for President? Apply the same concerns.

Didn't you hear Hilary at the Dem convention,"party above all else".

How can you have bi-partisan government with an attitude like that.
